Custodians Rock and Phil & Ellen Roll!

Hello my little Chickadees,

Well last night was another great show by the Custodians @ Mainely Brews in Hooterville, but it proved to be a very special night indeed.

The night started off as usual with me pounding down the brews

Do not let the glass fool you, it was Sam Adams Winter, not Magic Hat

Partying with the locals like George and Sally. (BTW, one of us in this picture has pulled a gun on Chuck Norris, but that's another story). ;)

and schmoozing with the ladies

The party was jammin and the place was rockin!

Then the band invited the Birthday Girl on to the stage. Ellen was then asked a question by each of the band members

When it came to Phil's turn there was something in the air as he spoke of how much she means to him

Phil dropped to one knee and proposed to Ellen

She said yes!

It was congratulations all around!!!

Congrats to Phil an Ellen!
I gotta fly,

My First Fan Mail

Howdy Peeps!

I know I have received many fan emails from many of you, but I just scored my first Fan Snail Mail from some of the Babes out in Madison (if any of you need a reminder of my escapades out there here is a link to the original post)

As you can see, they signed it only "Babes in Madison" (although the postmark is from Indy), so I can only speculate which ones they may be..... ah, yes.... good times .. good times.

Thank you all, you know who you are (even if I can't remember you!).

Rock on Peeps!

PS, I GOTTA party with that Lizard!!!

Halloween Rock n' Roll

Hello Chesterville! Are you ready to ROCK?!?

On Halloween, Lee & I met up with Jody

and we drove down to the Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom

a place that has some history

to see Tesla perform the last show of the first leg of their tour supporting their latest release Forever More.

As we sat in the parking lot waiting for the doors to open with a couple of Pumpkinhead Ales, Jode noticed a guy in the corner of the lot near the buses talking on his phone. It looked like Jeff Keith (lead singer). Lee got out of the car to get the camera from the back seat and kind of nodded to him. He promptly finished his call and walked across the parking lot to talk to us. He approached us wearing his Raiders jacket. It was indeed JK.

For some reason I was not introduced to him, so I stayed in the car drinking their beer.

Those two guys were pretty jacked when they got back to the car! Seems like JK is a great guy, loves football and rock n'roll!

Once they got inside (left me in the car again!) they found Pumkinhead on tap and started checking out the guitars

Then someone came out from back stage to talk to them...
Frank Hannon (lead guitar for Tesla)

They guys expressed their appreciation for 2 plus decades of great music and an absoutely GREAT CD in Forever More (available on itunes). He was extremely gracious and cool, thanking them for being loyal fans for so long (dudes are O L D!!).

The opening band was Pop Evil and they put on a good show. Both Lee and Jody said they would probably buy the CD "Lipstick on the Mirror".

Tesla did a lot of the new album and a few of their old songs, too.

The set list was;

'Forever More'
'I Wanna Live'
'Modern Day Cowboy'
'Breakin' Free',
Hang Tough'
'Heaven's Trail (No Way Out)'
'Mama's Fool'
'So What'
'One Day At A Time'
'The Way It Is'
'Fallin' Apart'
'What You Give'
'Love Song'
'Signs'
'Into The Now'
'Little Suzi'
'Comin' Atcha Live'
'In A Hole Again'
'Edison's Medicine'
'Free Bird' (with Pop Evil)

It was Halloween Night, JK came out in a Raider's Costume;

The Grand Finale with Pop Evil and Tesla doing Free Bird was AWESOME!

Found a pretty good review of the show on MySpace

That's it for now,

Rock on Peeps!
