Friday Night Fun

So, I pretty much sat around all day surfing channels & drinking beer waiting for Cindy & the girls to get done at their Conference. Finally at 6:30 we grabbed a cab and went to dinner. Well, THEY ate dinner. Again, the Tall One was afraid I'd misbehave at the restaurant because I had been drinking all day, so I had to stay in the tote bag. I had to beg her to let me out to take a picture of me in front where they ate. You can tell I'm starving. And thirsty.I shouldn't complain. I did need a nap after all that booze and the bag was comfy. Check out how I was transported for "sightseeing". College chicks are GREAT!A couple of the girls had never been to DC just like me, so Cindy hit some of the highlights. I spotted these really big kids on the way to the White House. They were huge! Here I am in front of the White House. The security people were eyeballing me as I sat on the fence. What did they think I was, a chicken bomb? I have feelings you know. God Bless America! My favorite place was the WWII Memorial. It was incredible. A lot of chickens were killed for the cause. It was good to be there and reflect on all the missing peeps. I still was a little tipsy - but wanted to go with the hot chicks to the Lincoln Memorial. Before entering, Cindy reinforced to me that I had to SHUT MY BEAK and behave. Little does she know I let out a couple of squaks anyway. The girls won't tell her, they think I'm Big Time. I am HUGE!!

We got back around 10pm. I wanted to hang out more but the girls said they wanted to go back to their room and go to bed. EXACTLY what I was thinking. 4 chicks in one room, every chicken's dream. Mean old Cindy made me come back to her room. She thinks she's the boss of me for some reason. I need to talk to Lee about that when I get home. Tonight we're having dinner with MEA Officers at some cool restaurant. I'm sure I'll be bellied up to the bar. Again, The German thought it was necessary to talk to me about "proper behavior" when out in public. She actually threatetned to turn me into a golf club head cover like the one below if I was "bad" tonight. Unbelievable! I say it's time to stop blogging and have another beer. Peace out, -Chester

WOO HOO - I'm in DC!

Wassup?!

Yeah, we made it! I wanted to post sooner but I've been running my chicken butt off since we got here and haven't had much time. First of all, everything went great with our flight. Very smooth. I wanted to chat with the pilot about his technique, but Cindy said I had to stay in the suitcase until we got to the hotel. I thought she'd at least let me out for breakfast, but she told me she was having eggs and wanted to spare me any potential pain. I tried to let her know that was no big deal for me - some chickens are meant to make it in this world and others are not. I give a crap. I hatched before I could be turned into an omelet; that's all that matters.

Here I am enjoying the view from our incredible room on the 15th floor of the L'Enfant Plaza Hotel. It's very sweet! We have a great king-sized bed, but the German wouldn't let me sleep with her. She claimed there was "no room" because she wanted to stretch out and lay diagonally. This apparently is a big deal to people in the 6 Foot Club. I still say there are other reasons...but I'm wasn't going to argue so I slept on the couch. So, we went downstairs to check things out before the opening session. I made sure the Maine Student Program's donation to the PAC fundraiser looked good - we want to raise lots of money for the auction!
Then I turned around from the table and this young chick grabbed me, put an orange ribbon on my head and gave me a hug. So I smooched her cheek. What else is a chicken to do?
There was a cool statue of a hot naked chick in the hallway, with a snake wrapped around her, holding a piece of fruit. How you like THEM apples?!

I decided to sit with Cindy & the girls at the opening session, just for kicks. Here I am pretending to pay attention...

Jaime picked me up and had her hand on my junk. I knew it was going to be an unforgettable evening!

Or so I thought.

After the session we went back to the room, and my travelling companion informed me I would have to stay in the room because the awards ceremony was very dressy and I would not fit in with my lack of attire. I surprised her and told her I brought my tux. This apparently caught her off guard. She sighed and said that I had to stay in the room because of behavior issues. On my part. Can you believe it?! I'm just a chicken looking for a great time. Always. I started to argue but her face was turning red, so I decided to lay off and not piss her off in hopes that I'd get to par-tay Friday night instead. She gave me a beer, handed me the remote, and left. She did take the camera and took a picture of the students from Maine looking pretty in their dresses. I just want to say I would have fit PERFECTLY at the banquet.
I will post more later, and share pics of my sightseeing from Friday night. Right now it's 7:11 am and I need a beer. Or two. I'm on vacation, right? Later! -Chet

I'm Free of the Suitcase for a Night!

Well, Fans, I'm here with Cindy at the luxurious Clarion Hotel in Portland. I can't believe I'm so far away from home! I also can't believe she strapped me into her damn suitcase for the past couple of hours. I made a lot of noise and she actually threatened to turn me into Hot Wings. Wow. The nerve. I understand needing to strap it in to get through the airport security thingy tomorrow, but to travel to Portland in such confinement was a bit over the top.

Oh, well, I'm not going to argue with her. She is a very tall German.

With the last name "Fabbricatore". Go figure!

So, as you can probably tell, I'm excited about our trip to Washington, DC because I've already gotten my laptop out to post on my Blog. Do any of you have a clue as to how difficult it is to type with your toes?! I amaze myself sometimes. Of course when I post, I prefer to sit in a comfy chair and have the remote close by. I am a dude afterall, and God forbid I watch any stupid commercials!! Plus the Red Sox are on right now. I do need to email them soon and tell someone that Manny needs a friggin' haircut. And Bartolo should go on a diet and never bat again.

This is going to be a shorter post than I planned, the Tall One is telling me to "get off the damn computer" so we can go downstairs and get some dinner so we can get back upstairs and get to sleep. We have to be at the Jetport at 4:30AM so we'll be up nice & early! I hope Mrs. Fab charged her cell phone and that the alarm will actually go off in the morning - she is a total slacker about that and shouldn't even own a cell phone. I think I'll call the front desk for a back-up wakeup call. Yeesh. I have to do EVERYTHING!! She's lucky I'm travelling with her for cryin' out loud.

I'm looking forward to the flight on the plane, so I don't have to do all that flying myself. I'm used to cruising around Maine but going to DC would make my chicken wings too tired.

Catch ya'll later - if Cindy lets me have any free time tomorrow (she is pretty freakin' strict you know...) I will definitely post something from DC! Peace out, Chet

ROAD TRIP!!!!

Well I have flown the Coop!

I am on my way to DC with Cindy.

I expect to have a lot of fun and will try to report in during my trip...

A few more pictures have surfaced from the Custodians show @ Mainely Brews.

As you shouold be hearing right about now, I added the Chicken Party Soundtrack from Imeem. Sorry, no Custodians streaming yet, but maybe someday!

As per Ranger Rob's advise, you may want to use the pop out stand alone player to ensure the best playback...

Enjoy!
