Back to the RIDE. Well, we took off and headed towards Benton to make a quick stop by Jode's house to day hello, but somewhere around Fairfield we pick up a rain shower. This shower must be a big fan of fast Chickens because it rode with us through Benton (we didn't stop to see Jode)... into Unity ... and finally turned off somewhere in Albion.
We made a quick stop at the Landing in China to check out the new exhaust and hugger and dry off the face shield on Lee's helmet. He says you can only clear so much water by turning your head (if you ride, you know).
We had a few people give us a strange look. I assume they don't see many screaming yellow VFR's with Rubber Chickens on them...
This is where I rode most of the time. Water makes me nervous ever since the trip to the Samoset for some reason, so I didn't like the rain much!
We made it back home to Waterville OK, but Lee says he has to ditch the Hugger he put on this spring as it does not seem to enjoy the heat from the Wolf Systems Underseat Exhaust. I guess we need to find I real carbon fiber unit. Ebay here we come (again)!
I tried to drive the Viffer, but have a problem reaching the controls!

I'm sure that riding in the backpack isn't your favorite spot but I also think that you probably cause a lot of people to do a double take no matter where you are positioned. Now don't get me going on the first picture that was posted -- I can't imagine what people thought they were seeing as that bike flew past them going in the opposite direction. Then again, maybe not everyone's mind works like mine!
