New Orleans More Than Just Bourbon Street

While my time in New Orleans will most be remembered for the night time activities, I did have to pitch in and help out during the day as well.

My likeness was used to help keep the Geeks in line;

And I was consulted in a presentation or two & a little network tech support...

There are many activities in the area from historical, ghost, swamp and river tours to shops, museums and restaurants. Just a great interesting city!

Below are a few pictures form the Swamp and River Tours we took while in New Orleans. I hope you enjoy them;

This is called the Redneck Riviera! A sandy beach in the middle of the swamp!

A fellow fowl

The picture on the left is the spot where the house was built and resided before Katrina. The picture on the right is where Katrina placed it, almost intact some 2 miles away!!!

The bipeds on the tour nicknamed it the Bug Tour since the the 3 different bug sprays did little to hold off the gnats, though they did not seem to bother me!

Here are a couple of natives....

A Water Moccasin

And some Gators

Some more of my cousins...

Some nice flora

where they have held weddings, filmed movies (Gator and a few others) and where moonshiners used to meet monthly to vote on the best shine allowing the winner to put the number 1 on that batch for the month so the customers would know who had the best batch!

In closing, if you get the chance to go to New Orleans, DO IT!
